Hi there i'm new to the club and Bongo's, i've had a no of vdubs 15+yrs ago. I'm pleased wiv my 2.5 diesel auto 96 model day van, fully loaded :-))
My previous vans have all been petrol so expected the diesel to be a bit more fuel efficient. Now i know auto's are about
4-5 mpg less than a manual box, but i've done approx 2500 miles in 2 months and used 100 gallons on fuel, now that doesn't take alot of working out but is this about right 25mpg, about 2/3 has been motorway miles too.

My little 970 suzuki van does about 35 n its petrol, n thats foot to the floor everywhere !!

Anyone used veggie oil, may have to look into it ;-)

Hi Pete, In the colder months, don't use a high mix, maybe 20-25% is well enough. In the summer, warmer months, you can up the mix to 50/50 as I have done and never had trouble.
Just remember to keep on top of a regular service pattern and make sure the Banjo Filter on the pump is cleaned at the same time. Try for rapeseed oil, that is the best. I have used KTC, but even in summer, only about 30-35%.

Thanx Rooster, it has risen slightly to 28 over the last few fill ups, could have been the very cold snap we had n driving conditions
